Wanting more, versus being grateful for what you’ve got: it’s a modern-day conundrum. We desire things, long for things, wish for things, and have big dreams—but does that mean that we aren’t living in the moment? And similarly, if we commit to living in the moment, does that mean we’ve settled?
There’s a truth about trying to live with two opposing extremes, and that’s simply that it doesn’t have to be one or the other. You can be grateful for what you have—and also look forward to the future. You can live in the moment, while still planning for those to come.
