Train your brain like you exercise your body. This is something I have to constantly remind myself! If I get off track with my journaling and positive self talk, I can definitely feel it. Just like when I skip a few days of exercise. When you’re feeling down, it takes a lot of work to shift your mind away from negative thinking. Once you start feeling good, don’t make the mistake of stopping those efforts. That would be like working out until you reach a goal and then becoming sedentary and expect to magically stay in shape. Both your body and your brain need consistent exercise to be healthy.
