This may be easier said than done, but I want you to try it anyway — Focus on what is, not what should be. If you’re upset about something that’s out of your control, accept it for what it is. If you can’t do anything about it, stop wasting your energy wishing it away. Instead, spend that energy on something you can control – how you react to whatever is bothering you.For me, living with endometriosis for nearly 30 years was a constant struggle. Not just because of the debilitating pain and all the harsh treatments and surgeries that came with it. But also because I hated the fact that I even had this disease.
I finally figured out that I was making myself more miserable thinking about how things should or shouldn’t be. I needed to accept endometriosis because it was out of my control. But I did have a say in how I reacted to the illness – how I took care of myself and what I did to feel better was up to me, even though it was definitely trying at times.
I hope this helps you in some way. #MondayMotivation
