Her view: “A few years ago I started an effort to live mindfully. I was inspired by an #IChooseBeauty challenge to photograph something I find beautiful. When I focus on finding beauty in my location, I stay more present throughout my day. I’m able to cling to commonly overlooked moments of preciousness instead of allowing unpleasant thoughts to derail my mood for the rest of my day. I have enjoyed the snapshots which others are posting. I value connections made with people around the country. It’s comforting to know that someone else has chosen to search for beauty as well.
