Does it feel like the weight of the world is just too much right now? Life seems extra heavy with the ongoing pandemic, wildfires everywhere, Afghanistan, Haiti, and so on (hence my WTH face).
Sometimes you have to take a time-out from it all, and do something nice for yourself – make your own beauty, as I like to say.
You can do this in so many ways! From everyday habits that help keep you feeling your best, like meditation, exercise and eating nutritious foods…
To making time for things you know lift your mood, like watching funny shows/movies, reading a good book, listening to your favorite music.
Or things that feel special to you, like a massage, manicure, or trying a new makeup look.
I’ve found myself gravitating towards many time-outs lately. And to be honest, making sure I’m getting enough rest is one of my best weapons when things get too heavy.
