Stop overthinking everything

Here are three things I’ve learned over the years that help me when I’m overthinking:

  • First, practice becoming aware of your thoughts, and notice when you’re overthinking
  • Acknowledge that the thoughts you’re having are not productive
  • Shift your attention to something else – maybe go for a walk, meditate, or listen to some music
