Here are three things I’ve learned over the years that help me when I’m overthinking:
- First, practice becoming aware of your thoughts, and notice when you’re overthinking
- Acknowledge that the thoughts you’re having are not productive
- Shift your attention to something else – maybe go for a walk, meditate, or listen to some music
