
The next time you catch yourself jumping to conclusions, try this:
- Take some deep breaths to calm yourself and slow your racing thoughts.
- Then ask yourself, what evidence are your thoughts based on? Little or none, most likely. It’s just your brain running away with false information.
I’m definitely a work in progress, but this exercise helps me feel better and see things as they are rather than what my brain is trying to tell me. I hope it does the same for you.
