Here’s a little trick to help you feel better on those dark days

Along my journey of finding beauty every day, I learned that on those dark days, it’s very hard to see any beauty or even want to look for it.

But I know that during those tough times, it’s even more important for me to find something.

That’s when I figured out that sometimes you have to make your own beauty and do something nice for yourself.

On those days when I’m too depressed to get out of bed or do much of anything, I give myself grace, rest, and do something that doesn’t take much energy, but still makes me realize there are good things – beauty – in my life.

Some of my go-to mental health comfort tools are diffusing lavender essential oils, cuddling with my cats, or mindlessly bingeing on Netflix.

Those are always easy to reach for on the days when I don’t feel well enough to actively look for beauty.

I recommend choosing a few comfort tools now so they’re readily available for the times you’re really struggling with your mental health.
