
Use your five senses to calm your anxiety. Focus on one at a time, then move on to the next one. Find:
- Five things you can see
- Four things you can feel
- Three things you can hear
- Two things you can smell
- One thing you can taste
The idea is to distract yourself from the thoughts that are making you anxious… and instead focus on what’s happening around you.
Don’t worry if your thoughts start to wander. Just gently bring them back to your five senses.
